Climate Psychology International is an emerging global network of climate psychology groups. The network is coming to life through participation and learning from and giving support to each other.

The main networking function of this group is through Global Climate Psychology for a Just Future which meets monthly.

We pioneer psychologically innovative practices for involving people in action on climate change, helping people face the fear, discouragement and distress that the climate crisis evokes. We bring psychological understanding to people's natural defensiveness and provide training and advice to those struggling to communicate the seriousness of the crisis. We recognise the even graver implications for disadvantaged communities and youth.

Our intentions are to:

  • Come together as climate psychology groups for support, solidarity and mutual learning.

  • Campaign together – lobbying international bodies whether governments or corporations

  • Share medico-legal expertise in legal cases - climate change knows no boundaries

  • Develop international resources

  • Run international events

  • Have an international online presence for connection and development

We value the unique identity of organisations set up according to local connections, needs and capacities.
